EXPLORE TUCSON

Every Tucson Neighborhood Has a Personality. Let's Find Yours.

Tucson isn't one place — it's mountain luxury in the Foothills, artsy bungalows in Sam Hughes, resort living in Dove Mountain, and retirement paradise in Green Valley. Click any neighborhood to discover what makes it special.

North Tucson & The Foothills

The most prestigious corridor in Southern Arizona — from the luxury mountain estates of the unincorporated Catalina Foothills to the family-friendly incorporated Town of Oro Valley. Sitting between the Santa Catalina and Tortolita Mountains, this zone combines top-ranked schools, resort-style amenities, and dramatic Sonoran Desert scenery.

Good to know: Rancho Vistoso, Stone Canyon, and Sun City Vistoso are all master-planned communities within the incorporated Town of Oro Valley — not separate cities. Many buyers search them by name, which is why I've given them their own pages, but their schools, utilities, and governance are all Oro Valley.

Central Tucson

The soul of the city. Historic neighborhoods, walkable streets, the University of Arizona, a food scene named a UNESCO Gastronomy City, and the most character per square mile anywhere in Southern Arizona. Price ranges vary dramatically — from entry-level bungalows under $250K to renovated historic estates over $700K.

East Side Tucson

Where Tucson families put down roots for the long haul. Arizona's #1 school district, Saguaro National Park access, and mountain views in every direction. The east side has the most pronounced "once you're here, you never leave" effect of any zone in the metro.

Marana & Northwest Tucson

The Town of Marana is Tucson's fastest-growing suburb — but it contains communities that are radically different from each other.

Continental Ranch is affordable starter-home territory. Dove Mountain is a luxury resort destination. Knowing the difference matters before you start searching.

Important distinction: Marana and Dove Mountain are both within the incorporated Town of Marana but are very different in price, lifestyle, and location. Dove Mountain sits at 3,000+ ft elevation in the Tortolita Mountains, about 16 miles from downtown. Continental Ranch and Gladden Farms are closer to I-10, more affordable, and more suburban in character. Oro Valley is about 8 miles east of Dove Mountain's entrance.

South of Tucson

Often overlooked by buyers who focus north — but some of the most compelling value in all of Southern Arizona is here.

From Sahuarita's master-planned community 15 miles out, to Green Valley's world-class retirement lifestyle, to the affordable border communities of Rio Rico and the charming arts village of Tubac. The Santa Rita Mountains are your constant backdrop.

County note: Sahuarita, Green Valley, Corona de Tucson, and Tubac are in Pima County. Rio Rico is in Santa Cruz County — a different county entirely, about 60 miles south. Different tax rates, different school district (Santa Cruz Valley Unified). Worth knowing before you fall in love with a listing.
